The Diffun Saranay and Development Cooperative (DISADECO) will venture into two new services this third quarter of 2021. These services are the funeral home and the gasoline station with mini-mart.
The funeral home and chapel will be a three-storey building to be erected at Aurora West, Diffun, Quirino. The services to be offered by this facility include the transport and embalming of cadaver, sale of coffins, rental of chapel for wake ceremonies and other related services.
The building will have a display room for coffins, a morgue and four chapels. The funeral home facility is expected to be in full operation in 2022.
Meanwhile, a gas station and mini mart complex will soon rise at Centro 2, Angadanan, Isabela. Aside from the gas station and mini mart, the compound will also house a hotel, a training center, and a farm center. This commercial complex is expected to be operational by July 2022.
In other developments, the existing DISADECO Resort and Sports Complex located at Diversion Road, San Nicolas, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya will be given a facelift. It will be given a new name and will offer the following services: swimming pool and spa, restaurant and coffee shop, souvenir shop, hostel, farm center and events center. Target month of completion is October 2022.
As of this writing, the cooperative is in the process of securing the necessary permits and documents from the respective local governments and other concerned government agencies prior to the start of construction activities.
“These new projects manifest that DISADECO has a strong foundation. It is able to keep going amid the adversities,” said Ms. Marcy Foryasen, chairperson of DISADECO. She added, “Despite the more than one year of disruptions of business operations due to the pandemic, DISADECO has reached a milestone in Year 2021.”
The cooperative leader said that sustaining this growth will truly make DISADECO realize its vision of becoming a model cooperative in the country.
