DA partners with DISADECO to implement RCEF program

The Diffun Saranay and Development Cooperative (DISADECO) assists the Department of Agriculture in administering component programs of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) in the provinces of Quirino, Isabela, and Nueva Vizcaya.

In line with the Seed Program component of the RCEF that aims to increase the adoption of certified inbred seeds and integrated crop management, DISADECO has distributed a total of 17,180 bags of Urea and T14 fertilizers to local farmers of Diffun, Aglipay, and Saguday in Quirino, and Cordon and Angadanan in Isabela on _ .

From the funding of the Extension Program component, the DA through DISADECO was able to distribute food packs, containing rice, chicken, and eggs, to a total of 10,331 local farmers from the provinces of Quirino and Isabela in November 2020 until April 2021.

The Department of Agriculture recognizes the significant participation of cooperatives and associations of farmers for the efficient implementation of the Rice Tariffication Law.
